ONYEMA NWEZE

M.H., University of Dallas, Literature concentration.  Ms. Nweze (WIN-zee) has been a public school educator for more than 25 years. An alumna of the 2006 and 2007 Sue Rose Summer Institutes, she is a member of the Teachers Alumni Advisory Board of the Cowan Center for Education™.  Ms. Nweze attended and graduated from the distinguished Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts for her secondary career. She is a certified reading specialist who worked in the Dallas ISD for more than eighteen years where she served as a high school English teacher, Department Chair, District Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal, and Academic Facilitator. Ms. Nweze is currently an Instructional Coach with the After-School All-Stars program in Dallas while she pursues a doctoral degree in curriculum and instruction. Ms. Nweze serves the Cowan Center™ as a TEKS and English STAAR specialist. Ms. Nweze is currently working on her dissertation.
