Lyric Hour

Featuring G.N.O. WHITE, WILLARD SPIEGELMAN, GEOFFREY BROCK, FREDERICK TURNER

Bibulous bibliophiles, unite!

Drink in the spirit of poetry at the Dallas Institute! Enjoy a cocktail or a mocktail inspired by the poet’s words.

Beginning in February, Dallas slam poet G.N.O White will kick off our series with a performance of his recent work. Join us again in March when Willard Speigelman, professor emeritus (SMU) and Great Courses poetry professor, reads from his work: Nothing Stays Put: The Life and Poetry of Amy Clampitt. In April, decorated poet and translator Geoffrey Brock joins us to read from his work Voices Bright Flags, among other selections. We will alsohost Frederick Turner as he reads from his most recent collection, Latter Days.
