The Breakfast or Lunch Book Groups
With Dr. Larry Allums [Bio]
Virginia Woolf: “Are there not some pursuits that we practise because they are good in themselves, some pleasures that are final? And is not reading among them? I have sometimes dreamt that when the Day of Judgment dawns and the great conquerors and lawyers and statesmen come to receive their rewards, the Almighty will turn to Peter and say, not without a certain envy when He sees us coming with our books under our arms, ‘Look, these need no reward. We have nothing to give them here. They have loved reading.'”
Members $200; Nonmembers $225. Cost is for the four-part series; includes breakfast/lunch and books.
Just interested in discussing only one book? $50 One-Day Member Guest or $60 One-Day Non-member Guest covers the cost of the meal; no book included.
