Katherine M. Herring grew up in Rhode Island and went to Salve Regina University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Nursing before attending Boston University for a Master’s Degree in Maternal and Child Health. She has worked at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston and the Harvard Family Health Clinic.
After moving to Dallas in 1975, Herring became active as a community volunteer and served on the Board of Directors of both Ronald McDonald House and The Catholic Campus Ministry at Southern Methodist University. Herring has been a very enthusiastic member of the Dallas Institute for approximately 19 years.
She is married to Husband Tony, and together they have three grown daughters and ten grandchildren.
